Gender equality is important to prevent violence, save lives, reduces human trafficking, improve businesses and educate children better. Gender equality is about making sure the same opportunities are available for both males and females to succeed in the world without segregation and discrimination about any of both genders. Gender equality is important in society, but sadly, it isn't enforced enough by governments and citizens in most countries. Equality in both genders is more than just wanting both genders entitled to the same salary at work or being able to run for political offices. - 1. Lives are saved: Women and girls are not empowered enough, and they lack resources. Because of that, they face some risks. Research shows that women receive poor health care, and this is because of their lack of education and lower income. Also, it's said that there's sexism in the medical field and that research on diseases exclusive to women isn't properly funded. When women are properly empowered and not discriminated against, they will also enjoy the same healthcare men enjoy.
- 2. It improves businesses: It's not news that organizations that embrace gender, race, and sexual identity inclusiveness see growth in their revenue. In fact, various research has shown that top companies with gender equality in leadership roles have experienced significant progress.
- 3. Children are well-educated: When women are properly empowered with equal income benefits as men, they can take care of their children and make them enjoy the best education possible. Also, female children raised in an equal society are bound to be more successful than one raised in a second-class gender society.
- 4. It reduces human trafficking: Although men are also victims of human trafficking, women experience it the most. When women are given the same opportunity as men to thrive financially, few women might end up in a situation where they could be trafficked.

When women are allowed to run for political offices, there might be more peace between countries. Every woman and girl deserves to be given an opportunity to thrive in society. No one should be silenced. Everyone should be paid equally for their hard work, and no gender should be superior to the other in terms of benefits. As youths, we say no to gender inequality.
